A Seminar was organized by the Urdu Department of Kabi Sukanta Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with IQAC and R&D Cell, on 21 October 2024. The event focused on the theme Urdu Zaban Ka Aaghaz o Irteqa (Evolution of Urdu Language). The esteemed resource person was Dr. Omar Ghazali from Hooghly Mohsin College, Hooghly.

The seminar was attended by 81 students and 25 teachers, showcasing a strong interest in the linguistic and cultural heritage of Urdu. Dr. Omar Ghazali delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the historical and cultural evolution of the Urdu language, its literary significance, and its role in modern academia. Principal Md. Salauddin Khan addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need to preserve and promote the language in contemporary times.

The interactive session encouraged active participation, with students and faculty contributing questions and insights. The seminar was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Nek Parveen, respected in- Charge of the Urdu Department, acknowledging the efforts of the speakers and attendees in making the event a success.

This seminar reinforced the importance of Urdu as a bridge between cultural tradition and modernity, inspiring further academic exploration of its rich heritage.
